Over the years we have moved literally thousands of pianos. We have moved pianos from almost every part of Ireland safely and smoothly. We provide a comprehensive moving service for pianos, both grand and upright pianos and while the majority of our piano moves tend to be in the Leinster area we are happy to quote for moving to any area of the country. We are fully insured and have an impeccable record when it comes to moving instruments safely.
Sometimes moving a piano from one room to another is all that is required, at other times it may be required to move a piano upstairs, downstairs, or from one end of the country to the other. The important thing when a piano is moved is that is handled correctly and with extreme care.
Even the lightest of pianos are extremely heavy instruments. Pianos typically weigh anything from 0.25 to 1 ton and present an extreme danger to those handling the piano if it is not carried out correctly.
Your piano is an expensive asset and it should be handled as such. Delicate piano finishes can be easily damaged if they are handled in a rough manner also if the piano is dropped it can result in a split sound board which is detrimental to the piano.
It is normal for people to have their piano tuned after it has been moved, although more often than not it is the change of environment that will have the greatest effect on the tuning, and therefore it can be prudent to allow a “settling in” period after the piano has been moved rather than tuning it straight away.
” The piano sounds great and I appreciate the encouraging words you shared with my daughter. Feel free to send me a reminder to have the piano tuned up again in 6 months or so. Thanks! ”
